You are now in the function menu of the
selected vehicle.
2.3 Checking sensor type
Use the arrow buttons to navigate.
Select “Check sensor type”.
Press “OK” to confirm.
You are now in the “Check sensor type”
function menu.
You can use this function to check whether a
Herth+Buss wheel sensor is installed in the
tyre, without having to remove the tyre.
You will also be shown whether this is part of
article no. 70699433 (WIRE sensor) or article
no. 70699434/-443 (WIRELESS Sensor):
WIRE: programming only possible in
the slot;
WIRELESS: wireless programming
possible via radio;
NOTE
Keep the device as close to the sensor
as possible. You receive this message if
the wireless sensor has been success-
fully identified.
You will receive this message if no wireless
sensor has been detected in the area.
Hold the sensor to be identified close to the
device, move away from other surrounding
sensors OR place the sensor to be identified
directly in the slot.
2.4 Diagnostics
Use the arrow buttons to navigate.
Select “Diagnostics”.
Press “OK” to confirm.
You are now in the “Diagnostics”
function menu.
2.4.1 Reading out a sensor
Note: The device outputs the data
transferred by the sensor. Not every original
part sensor outputs all or the same data.
You can now read out the vehicle
sensors.
Choose between two modes.
Read out single sensor OR multi-sensor.
2.4.2 Single sensor
Use the arrow buttons to navigate.
Select “Single diagnosis”.
Press “OK” to confirm.
Single diagnosis is performed.
NOTE
The “inactive” sensors can be
activated via the single diagnosis.
The device reads out the sensor,
whereby the response time may vary
depending on the sensor type and
manufacturer. Please observe the
progress bar in the display.
