Machine's Arrival at the Customer's

The Suprasetter comes in one packaging kit.

For overseas shipping the Suprasetter is packed in a crate.

For delivery in Germany, Europe and when shipped in a container, the machine comes screwed to a
pallet and covered with protective foil.

The Suprasetter must be stored in a weatherproof environment prior to installation.

Use a fork-lift truck of sufficient capacity for unloading from the truck (see

"Technical Data", page 79

).

For the exact fork width and height, see the installation instructions that come with the recorder. A
description of how to lift the Suprasetter off the pallet is attached to the top of the Suprasetter (see
also

"Pallet / Installation Instructions", page 34

). Transport with lifting trolley is only possible on a

smooth and level floor. Make sure there is sufficient floor clearance!

Fig. 1 Suprasetter with Autoloader through narrow door

Protection Against Corrosion

All HEIDELBERG machines are coated with VCI corrosion protection and sealed with PVC foil prior to
shipment. Underneath the foil a special atmosphere forms that protects the machine against corro-
sion. A thermal shock occurs if the machine arrives at the customer's in a cold state due to low ambi-
ent temperatures and is brought to the relatively warm installation site in this state, i.e. the dew point
is reached, and water condenses on the outside of the protective foil.

TIP:

Suprasetter with Autoloader through narrow
door

To transport the 1550 mm wide Suprasetter with
Autoloader through a door that must not be nar-
rower than 115 mm (i.e. door width at least 1435
mm), you must first open the right door and then
push the recorder into the room until the open
door almost touches the wall (Fig. 1/1). Then turn
the recorder into the room (Fig. 1/2).

The Autoloader must be removed if the door is too
narrow. To facilitate removal of the cables, the
harness that goes from the Autoloader to the
recorder as of serial number PJ00841 is secured in
the recorder with yellow tie-clips. In other words,
only the yellow tie-clips have to be undone to be
able to remove the harness.
