Chapter2 Basic Operation

Paper

Paper set lever

Guide plate

Raise the paper set lever and place

some paper on the paper feed tray.

Push in the paper until its lead edge touches

the guide plate.
The message "No paper" displayed on the LCD

dispaly disappears.

Fan the paper well and stack them neatly

at the center of the paper feed tray.

Side guide

Fixing screw

After pressing the side guide to each

side of the paper lightly, tighten the

screws to secure the side guides.

Paper can be stacked to a height of

approximately 45 mm/1.77 inches at one

time. Do not stack too many sheets of

paper.

Paper set lever

Lower the paper set lever.

The paper feed tray will be raised.

Make sure that you lower the paper set

lever. If you start operations without the

paper set lever lowered, the paper feed

rings will run idle, causing the machine

to stop.

Single fold

Count:0

Press the

key to select the size of

the paper on the paper feed tray.

Each time you press the

key, paper

sizes are displayed on the LCD display in the

following order with a figure:
A3, B4, A4, B5, A5, B6, LP, CF (EU)
LL, LG, LT, ST/IN, LP, CF (North America)

When stacking A4 and B5 size paper

with long edge feed, select [A5] and [B6]

respectively. (EU)
When stacking letter size paper with long

edge feed, select [ST/IN]. (North America)

Single fold

Count:0

Press the key to select the desired

folding mode.

Each time you press the key, the folding

modes are displayed on the LCD display in the
