• Periodically clean the solar panel with a soft cloth and
warm water. Do not hose spray. Keep the collector clear
of snow and leaves. Make sure trees and other objects
do not block sunlight from the panel.
• If not to be used for several weeks, turn the unit OFF.
Store it with the panel connected and where the panel
can gather sunlight.
• Solar collection is only effective in direct sunlight. Every
hour the light is on requires a minimum of 16 hours of
sunlight charging. Solar panels collect less than 10%
of the sun’s energy.
• Several days of use with overcast skies may discharge
the battery. Because of the battery protection circuit,
the light will not work until the battery is sufficiently
recharged. Note: To determine if the battery is charged
after the initial setup, watch the red LED on the front
of the sensor. If it blinks when motion is sensed, then
the battery is charged. If not, then turn the ON-TIME
switch to off and allow the sun to charge the battery for
3 to 7 days. Test the battery as described under Initial
Battery Charge, page 1.
• This light is supplied with two permanent LED lamps.
The LED’s are rated to provide a minimum of 40,000
hours of light output and do not need to be replaced.

This solar light contains a rechargeable battery that
can be replaced if needed. Rechargeable batteries will
eventually lose their ability to hold a charge. To replace
the battery follow the steps below.
HeathCo LLC reserves the right to discontinue products
and to change specifications at any time without incurring
any obligation to incorporate new features in products
previously sold.
IMPORTANT:
DO nOt reverse the battery wires. Dam-
age to the unit will result. Like any lead-acid battery,
this battery must be disposed of properly.
IMPORTANT:
keep sensor switch in the “OFF”
position for 3 to 7 days to allow the battery to fully
charge before testing.
1. Remove rear battery cover. Press in the two catch
releases on the cover and remove the cover.
2. Remove rechargeable battery. Slide battery out of case
and remove the wire connectors from the battery.
3. Replace battery. Connect the RED wire connector to
the positive (+) terminal and the BLACK wire connector
to the negative (-) terminal. Wire connectors should
fit tightly. If not, remove the wire connector from the
terminal. Use a pair of pliers to gently squeeze the
connector to ensure a tight fit. Reconnect wire con-
nector to the terminal.
4. Replace battery cover. Insert the two tabs on the cover
into the slots on the back of the case. Press the cover
against the case until the two catch releases snap into
place.
IMPORTANT:
the sealed lead-acid battery must be
recycled or disposed of properly.
