Service – Maintenance & Cleaning

Battery Maintenance

• Avoid water, high temperature, and high humidity . The storage environment should be free of

dust, salt, sulphide gas, and kept dry . See “Environmental Specifications” on page 108 .

• Never open the battery enclosure or remove the battery from the enclosure .
• Monitor the battery performance, and have it serviced or replaced by an authorized service

technician when necessary . See “Monitoring the Battery” on page 34 .

• Discontinue battery use if battery power appears weak or appears to discharge at a rate faster

than expected .

• Follow local ordinances or regulations for disposal .
