Hard Drive Removal or Replacement

The NXAMP3801HDX/HDI comes equipped with hot-swappable hard drives. Only Harris qualified hard disk
drives are for use in NXAMP3801HDX/HDI chassis.

CAUTION

Regardless of how many hard drives are installed, all drive carriers must remain in the

drive bays to maintain airflow.

Removing a Hard Drive Carrier from the Chassis

Press the drive release button. See

Swing the handle out fully.

Pull the carrier straight out.

Installing a Hard Drive into a Drive Carrier

Remove the carrier from the NXAMP3801HDX/HDI. Refer to

Removing a Hard Drive Carrier from the

Chassis

on page 65.

Insert your new drive into the carrier with the PCB side facing down and the connector end toward
the rear of the carrier.

Align the drive in the carrier so that the mounting holes of both are aligned. Refer to

Figure 8-7

page 66.
