ATLAS Series™
!
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET THE MODULE SWING DOWN WHEN PULLING THE MODULE
OUT WITH THE FRONT HANDLE. THIS COULD CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE
TO THE CONNECTORS ON THE BACK OF THE MODULE.
STEP 6
Grab the handle on the front of the module and slide it out about
halfway. Be sure to get a hand under the module and then, using
proper lifting techniques, slide it out while lifting the module.
5.2.2
Installing a PA Module
To install a PA Module, simply reverse the above procedure. Figure 5-2 shows the
numbering and location for the PA Modules, PS modules and circuit breakers.
NOTE:
In some cases it has been noted that it can be difficult to connect the coolant
hoses to a hot PA module. In this case simply allow the module to cool suffi-
ciently before connecting the coolant hoses.
When the module is installed and coolant hoses connected, press the transmitter ON
button to activate it. Once the PA Module is ON and is working, the phasing will
need to be checked and possibly adjusted. Since only one module has been changed,
simply go to the PA Reject Service screen in Figure 5-4, and note the bargraph and
numerical reading above the number of the new module. If the reading is less than
0030, with the detector gain set to LOW, the phasing is OK and no further
adjustment is necessary. However, if the reading is above 0030, then press the button
with only the PA Module number on it (for example, Module #4 is selected in Figure
5-4). Now use the Phase /- buttons to get the reading above the button,
below 0030. For a complete phasing procedure see "5.4 PA Module Phasing".
