11 - Fault finding

Fluid system test

A way to troubleshoot the sprayer is to complete these steps to check the fluid system for defects.

Close the main ON/OFF valve.

Close the regulation valve by pushing up the yellow button on the Spray Box III to increase the pressure. A yellow diode
lights up on the valve, when it is closed.

Close the agitation valve.

Close the pressure filter bypass valve.

Set pump speed between 250 and 300 rpm with tractor engine in idle.

Now all liquid from the pump should pass the flow sensor for the spray boom.

Pump condition and possible internal valve leakages can be checked by comparing with

•

menu [4.5.1.3 Pump calc flow]. This menu shows the calculated flow from the pump.

•

menu [4.5.1.6 Boom flow sensor]. This menu shows the actual measured flow through the flow sensor.
