Connection to the power
supply; notes for the installer
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Faulty electrical installation or excessive
mains voltage may result in an electric
shock.
■
The hob may only be connected by
authorised specialist staff, such as our
Technical Service (see page EN-26).
This also applies when disconnecting
from the power supply and disman-
tling the old appliance. Unauthorised
persons may not establish a connec-
tion to the power supply. You can en-
danger yourself and subsequent us-
ers!
■
Since all poles of the appliance can-
not be disconnected from the mains
via an accessible disconnecting de-
vice, an all-pole disconnecting device
in accordance with overvoltage cat-
egory III must be connected within
the house installation with at least 3
mm contact clearance; this includes
fuses, miniature circuit breakers and
protective devices.
Connection conditions
– The hob is designed for alternating current
220–240 V~ / 380–415 V 3N~ / 50 Hz.
– A separate power supply is required.
– The hob may be connected only with the
pre-installed mains cable of type H07RN-F
with a conductor cross-section of at least
4 × 2.5 mm

.
– When connecting the appliance, VDE re-
quirements and the ‘Technical connection
requirements’ must be observed.
Contact protection must be guaranteed.
Connecting the mains cable
1. Before accessing the terminals, switch
off all supply circuits and secure them
against being switched on again.
2. Make sure that the connection cables are
voltage-free on all poles.
3. Make sure that effective earthing is pos-
sible before connecting to the appropriate
terminal.

4. Connect the mains cable to the cooker
outlet as shown in the wiring diagram.
5. Lay out the mains cable in such a way
that it does not touch the housing of the
hob, as it can get very hot during opera-
tion
