Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.
■
Only use the appliance indoors. Do
not use in wet rooms or in the rain.
■
Do not operate or continue to oper-
ate the appliance if
–
it shows visible signs of damage,
for example, the connection cable
is defective;

smell;
–
it makes unusual sounds.
In such cases, switch off the circuit
breakers/unscrew fuses and contact
our Service Centre (see “Service“ on
page EN-26).
■
Connection to the mains supply may
only be made by an authorised elec-

supply company (see “Service“ on
page EN-26). Only then will you bene-

Do not kink or pinch the mains cable
or lay it over sharp edges.

If the mains cable of the appliance is
damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, through the customer
service department or by a qualifi ed
specialist.
■
Since all poles of the appliance can-
not be disconnected from the mains
via an accessible disconnecting de-

the house installation with at least 3
mm contact clearance; this includes
fuses, miniature circuit breakers and
protective devices.

Before connecting the hob, switch off
the relevant power circuit or turn off
the relevant fuses. Before accessing
the terminals, all supply circuits must
be switched off.
■
Do not extend or amend the power
cord.
■
Never open the housing.
■
Never repair a defective or suspected
defective appliance yourself. You can
put your own and future users’ lives
in danger. Only authorised specialists
are allowed to carry out this repair
work.
■
Do not operate the hob with an exter-
nal timer or a separate remote con-
trol system.
■
Do not put any objects in or through
the housing openings, and also make
sure that children cannot insert any
objects in them.
