Operation
Before getting started
• Read chapter “Getting started” from
page EN-19, in particular the safety instruc-
tions.
• Set up and connect the appliance as de-
scribed in chapter “Getting started” from
page EN-19.
Switching the appliance on
and off
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
If the appliance has been transported
horizontally, lubricant from the com-
pressor may make its way into the cool-
ing circuit.
■
Allow the appliance to stand upright
for approx. 2 hours after transport
and before connecting.
Switching on for the first time
The appliance is switched on as soon as the
mains plug is plugged in.
The compressor starts to work, the refrigerant
flows through the pipes and a quiet humming
sound can be heard.
All indicators on the control panel will light up
for 3 seconds.
If the appliance makes unusual noises,
check that it is on a solid base and re-
move any objects that are on top of the
appliance.
Switching off
1. To switch the appliance off completely, pull
the mains plug out of the socket.
2. Leave the appliance door (3) slightly open
to prevent mould from forming.
Setting the temperature
WARNING
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. This
could then cause a rise in temperature
inside the refrigerated area.
■
Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
“Getting started” on page EN-19).
Set the temperature to +6 °C and fill the fridge
in such a way that the temperature conditions
inside are optimally utilised, guaranteeing op-
timal food storage.
A temperature setting that is too high or too
low can reduce the shelf life of your food. This
leads to greater food waste.
You can set the temperature to between
+2 °C and +8 °C.
• Press the button (15) repeatedly until the
desired temperature is shown in the tem-
perature indicator (17).
Each time the button is pressed, the tem-
perature indicator jumps to the next lower
value. If the setting r2 °C, it jumps
back to +8 °C the next time you press the
button.
The indicator for the temperature selected
flashes for approx. 5 seconds; the temper-
ature is set once it stops flashing.
The ideal fridge temperature is +6 °C.
If you set a lower temperature, you
will need higher cooling performance.
This increases the energy consump-
tion.
