Configuration #6 – STAND ALONE BOILER WITH DOMESTIC HOT WATER PUMP
(Requires additional heating wiring harness – p/n WRE 74090)
• A room thermostat is to be connected to terminals 5 & 6 (or 13 & 14, 57 & 58 depending on model). If no yellow
jumper wire is attached to 5 & 6 (or 13 & 14, 57 & 58 depending on model), which will be removed to connect
room thermostat, additional wiring is required. Consult local supplier.
•
No
external sensor is
required
to be connected to terminals 1 & 2 (or 3 & 4, 28 & 29 depending on model). If a
sensor is connected (sensing after low loss header), it will be automatically detected.
• The tank sensor or an aquastat is to be connected to harness leads labeled “Tank Sensor”.
• The domestic hot water pump is to be connected to the harness leads labeled “L & Close”, be sure to cap the
line labeled “Open”.
• A flow check must be installed on the domestic hot water loop and primary heating loop.
In this configuration the following can be done:
1. Adjust the boiler minimum and maximum temperature setting via the potentiometer located on the
display panel, within the range of 50 - 192°F.
(Parameter 2 EB, 2 EA )
2. An outdoor sensor can be connected to terminals 1 & 2 (or 9 & 10, 26 & 27 depending on model).
3. Setting for the DHW tank
(factory default is 140°F, Parameter 2 LF (must be less than 2 CC))
.
4. Set the flow temperature to the DHW tank.
Factory default is 185°F (Parameter 2 CE).
5. Pump P3 can be controlled based on the Room Thermostat, wire to P3 leads.
Caution: Maximum available
wattage for external load on the FMT 914 control board is 550 watts. If pumps P1 & P3 total less, they
both can be powered directly off the board. If not, a relay (240v coil) must be used for pump P3.
