NAS function
Your device can be used as an NAS (Network Attached Storage) de-
vice . You can connect the device to your home network via the LAN
or WLAN . In this way it is possible save large volumes of data on a
home computer at low cost . In addition, you can access the stored
data quickly and conveniently .
After you have connected the device to a LAN or WLAN correctly
and the network is ready for use, enter \\Host name or \\IP address
into the "Run" window that you can open in the Windows start menu .
Alternatively you can enter \\Host name or \\IP address into the
address field of Internet Explorer on your computer. For example, if
the IP address of your device is 192 .168 .0 .9 and the Host name is
HAMA, enter \\192 .168 .0 .9 or \\HAMA and click the "OK" button or
press the
Enter button .
Under Windows Vista and Windows 7, please enter: \\192 .168 .0 .9 in
the search field and then press the Enter key on the keyboard.
