2.4.2 Establishing a connection
Select a network from the list of available networks by clicking the circle in the
“Connect”
fi eld.
Example: Network
“Hama 3”
The system automatically compares the values for SSID, channel, transfer rate, safety settings and encryption with the selected
network and enters them. You only have to enter the WPA pre-shared key for WPA encryption and key 1 for WEP encryption. Confi rm
your entries by clicking
“Apply”.
The system then changes the colour of the circle in the
“Connect”
fi eld of the network that the camera is now connected to:
Red:
No connection, incorrect key.
Pink:
Connection established, but camera is still connected with RJ-45 cable and so can’t be accessed via wireless LAN.
Green:
Connection OK, camera can be accessed via wireless LAN.
To access the network camera via wireless LAN, disconnect the RJ-45 network cable.
The camera’s default IP address is still 192.168.2.3 during WLAN use.
2.5 E-mail and FTP
After detecting a movement in the fi eld of vision, the network camera can send images via e-mail or upload them to an FTP server.
