Viewing window of the centrifugal force mechanism
The service lift is equipped with a fall arrester. This will stop the service lift in case
of overspeed. The lift is held by a clamping mechanism on the safety rope (fall
protection).
After closing the fall arrester, it must first be opened manually before the service
lift can be moved again. To do this, the safety rope must first be relieved.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to defects of the safety device
If the fall arrester has been triggered by an overspeed of the service lift, all
components of the service lift and the ropes must then be subjected to
unscheduled inspection and maintenance.
Manual triggering of the fall
arrester
The fall arrester can be released manually in an emergency or for safety
purposes.
1.
►
Check whether the locking lever (2) and the release lever (3) point
vertically downwards.
2.
►
Turn the locking lever a quarter turn counterclockwise. The fall
arrester should audibly latch in place.
