Cummins diesel engine and hydrostatic pump–

The DTS 8T comes standard with a 5.9 liter turbo-

charged Cummins diesel engine (fig. 28-1). The engine has a Sauer-Danfoss 130cc hydrostatic pump (fig. 28-

3) that is responsible for the distribution of hydraulic fluids throughout the hydrostatic drive system’s compo-

nents.

Wheel motors and hubs–

The DTS 8’s selectable 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive power train, consists of the

Torque Hub® planetary gear reduction hubs (fig. 28-2) and the Sauer-Danfoss hydrostatic wheel motors (fig.

28-3).
