8.6  Troubleshooting the Cooling System 

I. Symptom 

The temperature inside the firewall exceeds 45°C (113°F).  

II. Solution 

z

 

Check whether the fans are running normally.  

z

 

Check whether the working environment of the firewall is well ventilated.  

z

 

If the temperature inside the firewall exceeds 60°C (140°F), the following 

information appears on the configuration terminal:

Use the 

display environment

 command to check whether the temperature in the 

firewall keeps rising. If the temperature inside the firewall exceeds 90°C (194°F), 

power off the firewall immediately and contact your local sales agent.

8.7  Troubleshooting Interface Modules, Cables and 
Connections 

I. Symptom 

After the HIM is installed and the firewall is powered on, the LED on the HIM panel 

indicates abnormal operation.  

II. Solution 

Check that:

The HIM cable was correctly selected.
