Non-ionising Radiation
The RadaScan sensor emits non-ionising radiation with an
output power of 3 Watts when transmitting.
This equipment should be treated with the same safety
precautions as other marine radar devices.
ALWAYS keep a minimum safe distance of 1 metre from the
dome when the unit is operational.
Risk of Electric Shock
Disconnect the mains electricity supply before opening the
connection panel or removing the radome cover.
Isolating the Sensor
For PERMANENTLY CONNECTED EQUIPMENT , a readily
accessible disconnect device shall be incorporated external to
the equipment.
For
PLUGGABLE EQUIPMENT, the socket-outlet shall be
installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
