iMAPLA system description
GTS type designation and identification
4.10.3
Serial number, MMI control unit
There are a number of specially adapted MMI control units. To provide
exact identification, two labels are fixed in the MMI font plate next to the
manufacturer logo. The MMI type description is above the logo. The 6- or
8-digit serial number appears underneath the logo.
Possible MMI type descriptions
B13 INT STD
STD = version (here STD = Standard)
INT = suitable for the
i
MAPLA series
(also backwards-compatible to existing MAPLA systems)
B13 = MMI with fixed power class in kW
(this entry does not apply with the new MMI which is independent of the
power class)
B
g
MMI software version, program variant
13
g
programmed power class in kW
Note
The power class is not used for the new MMI. For this reason, this
MMI can be used for any type of generator.
The MMI functions are connector- and backwards-compatible
with older MAPLA systems. The MMI system adapts
automatically to the connected
i
MAPLA controller.
The parameters are automatically read at the system start. Older
MMIs can also be used on new controllers, but the scope of
functionality may be reduced. The basic functions described in
this manual are available, however.
Note
If a power-specific MMI (e.g. B13) is in use, it will only be able to
be used for the one power class of controller, e.g. 13 kW.
In this regard, make sure the MMI power class and the power
class of the controller match.
