Front Connections
AV IN
The AV IN (3.5 inch connection in the front) is a connection with which you can connect external audio
and video devices through their headphone or AUX output with this device. The audio or video tracks
played back on these devices are then put out through the car speakers and seen on screen. This is how
you can e.g. play back audio files that you have saved on your cell phone, minidisk, iPod®, tape
recorder, Video Camera or Game console. To connect external audio / video devices with the unit, you
will need to use the provided
Front AV-In Adapter cable (Video / Audio right + left) to 3.5 mm jack
plug. First connect this cable to the unit - and then the headphone connection or AUX / Video output of
your playback device. Now you can start the playback. Set the volume of the playback device to a
medium level and subsequently regulate the volume with your device. If the playback source of the
device has not been set to AUX yet, please press the “MODE” button until AUX appears on the display.
Please note that you only can use the rear AV-in OR the front AV-in. It is not possible to use both inputs
parallel.
