VCR Plus+ Recording

Setting a VCR Plus+ Recording

VCR Plus+ simpliﬁes timer recording
by allowing you to enter a single code
(found in most local TV listings) instead
of detailed date, time, and channel
information. Follow these steps to
program a VCR Plus+ recording.

Insert a recordable disc or VHS tape.

Press TIMER to display the Timer
Record menu:

Press

to select one of the 5 timer

events.

Move to the Disc/Tape icon and press
ENTER to choose between DVD and
VHS recording.

Select “Mode” and press ENTER. Then
press



and ENTER to select:

Once

- For a one-time recording.

Weekly

- For a weekly recording.

Daily

- For a daily recording.

Press



to select “VCR Plus+” and then

press ENTER.

Press the 0-9 buttons to enter the
PlusCode number (found in your local
TV listings) and press ENTER.

Check the Date, Start, End, Source, and
Quality columns. They should all be
ﬁlled in automatically with the correct
settings.
• If there are any errors, try re-enter-

ing the VCR PlusCode or manually
changing the settings; see page 36.

Check the Status column:

OK

- The event is programmed and

ready to record.

Trash

- There is a problem with the

event settings. Change the settings
until the Status is “OK”.

Done

- The event recorded success-

fully.

Fail

- The event failed to record. Move

the cursor to the Status column to
view the cause of the error (“No Disc,”
“Media Defect,” “Disc Full,” etc. ).

Press TIMER to exit the Timer Record
menu.

Press POWER to turn off the DVD
RVCR.
• The DVD RVCR must be

turned off to activate the Timer
Recording.

• The TIMER indicator on the front

panel display will light.

• To delete a timer recording, move to

the trash icon and press ENTER.
