Before loosening the sealing nut , check whether the shut-off device is closed.
This must be tightly closed by hand!
•
Loosen the sealing nut at the test
connection for tank testing. The connection
is an M 20 x 1.5 thread.
•
When loosening the sealing nut , brace a
size 17 open-end wrench against the test
connection housing to stop the test
connection from opening.
•
Connect the test pressure gauge (as an
example) and open the shut-off device
with a screwdriver (remove the plastic cap
first).
•
Carry out leak testing.
•
Then close the shut-off device again,
remove the test pressure gauge and close
the sealing nut on the test connection,
tighten firmly by hand.
•
Check all of the connections
for leak-tightness!
•
Open the shut-off device again with a
screwdriver.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Fault cause
Action
Gas smell
Leaking LPG is extremely
flammable.
Can cause explosions.
Close the gas supply.
Do not use any electric switches.
Do not use a phone in the building.
Ventilate rooms well.
Shut down the LPG system.
Contact a specialised company.
No gas flow.
Gas supply is closed:
Open the gas cylinder valve or the shut-off fittings.
Pressure gauge indicates
incorrect values or is not
working at all
Pressure gauge is damaged:
Replace only when the LPG system is completely
non-pressurised and neutralised!
Road tanker does not
provide approval.
Check connector.
Check cable or replace the limit indicator.
MAINTAIN the sensor.
MAINTENANCE
An annual function check is recommended; this check can be performed while filling the LPG
tank in combination with the limit indicator and the overfill prevention device on the road
tanker. The overfill prevention device must be removed for tank pressure testing with water. A
blind plug must be put into the opening. After tank testing, reinstall the overfill prevention
device properly.
