FST3.1VK type compatible overfill prevention device
Part no. 55 270 52
3 / 16
GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
As a safety device in LPG tanks, the overfill prevention device triggers approval for filling and
automatic shut-off of the road tanker pump as soon as a fill level of 83% (operational shut-off
point) is reached in the LPG tank. A dip valve serves as an additional safeguard in the overfill
prevention device. This must respond at 85% (safety-related shut-off point) at the latest (liquid
phase leaks out).
“The operational shut-off point must be set such that the safety-related shut-off point is not
reached. The safety-related shut-off point must be set such that the permissible fill level of the
LPG storage tank cannot be exceeded even through LPG overrun or through a delay in the
closing of the bottom valve.”*

The gas withdrawal valve is used to open or cut off the gas supply to the connected consumer
equipment. There is a pressure gauge with a scale from 0 to 25bar on the gas withdrawal
valve for displaying the working pressure in the tank.
A pressure gauge for displaying the pressure during the tank test can be connected at the test
connection with cap. A pressure regulator with POL retaining screw can be connected at the
F POL outlet connector.
