Operation & Filter Maintenance

This section describes Hood operation, care and cleaning of Filters, and other general maintenance information.

Operation & Filter Maintenance

Before attempting to start the Hood, confirm that all Filters are in place and properly seated. The Filter Access Door

must be closed and securely latched.

The hood will NOT start if Door is not closed and properly latched.

4.01

Hood Operation

Press and momentarily hold the top

[START]

portion of the

Power Switch

①

until the hood fan starts running. When released, switch remains in

the

[ON]

position.

The green

[HOOD POWERED]

light

②

should be

The

EAC Status

[ON]

LED

will illuminate.

Alarm sounds briefly until fan reaches speed, then amber

[APPLIANCE

POWERED]

light

will turn

. This indicates that power is supplied

to the cooking appliances under the hood and they are ready be used.

Should an audible alarm remain

, any other indicator lights come on,

and/or if the

[APPLIANCE POWERED]

light does not turn

iMPORTANT!: It will be necessary to restart the hood in this manner after any interruption of power.

GVH Hood

Filter System consist of three (3) stages. This section describes filter maintenance and cleaning

procedures necessary to keep the air cleaning system at peak performance and explains hood alarm conditions.
