3.10 MANUAL MODE OPERATION
The user can choose to Enable
or Disable the ability of the
MSA processor to operate in
“Manual” mode. If this mode
is disabled the processor can
only work in “CP” and “barcode”
modes.

3.11 SHORT CIRCUIT (Sudden Current Rise)
This is a safety feature built into
the fusion process. The MSA
processor constantly regulates
the amperage draw of the fitting
during the fusion cycle. If the
amperage draw increases above
the pre-set current rise limit, the processor shuts the fusion down
and alerts the operator to possible causes by audible alarm and
visual display.
This feature is designed to reduce the possibility of the fusion coil
shorting out and overheating to the point that a wire will burn in
two. This type of fault is normally due to operator error resulting
from improper assembly of the pipe to fitting.
