Long periods of inactivity (from 2 months onwards) can make difficult or impossible
to start up, or also producing an unstable run of engine. To avoid these problems:
1 Add a properly formulated commercially name fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank
according to the manufacturer's instructions to delay the degradation of the
gasoline.
2 Start the generator to circulate treated fuel into fuel lines and carburetor
before shutdown.
3 With the help of a vacuum siphon extract the gasoline from the fuel tank
and store it in an appropriate container.
NOTE:
Do not use regular plastic bottles,
some plastics partially decompose when in
contact with the gasoline and contaminate it.
This contaminated gasoline may damage an
engine if reused.
DANGER: Gasoline is explosive and
flammable. Never smoke or generate any type
of flame or flash while handling gasoline.
1 Start and run the generator until stops from lack of fuel. This will dry out all
remaining fuel in tank, fuel lines and carburetor.
2 Change oil of engine.
3 Remove spark plug and pour about one teaspoon (10 ~ 20 ml) of engine oil
through the spark plug hole, pull the recoil starter several times to distribute
the oil for lubricating the cylinder. Reattach the spark plug.
4 Pull recoil slowly until resistance is felt. This will close the valves so
moisture cannot enter engine cylinder. Gently release recoil starter.
