When the winch is not in use, the hook of the rope must be 
securely fastened to the eye bolt and the rope should be 
subjected to slight tension.  

This procedure ensures that the hook is not swinging bumping into ruin 
someone or something and that is not going to get caught in rotating parts 
with devastating results. 
 
 

6.4 Disabling limit winches

 

  
 

Turn off the limit switch can be done only in limited circumstances 
when the exclusion facilitates certain recovery operations, making 
them more secure.
