Buffer solutions

Preparations

Solution

1

Mix 2.5 ml of 0.5 M Tris-HCl, pH 6.8, 4.0 ml of
10% (w/v) SDS, 2.0 ml of glycerol, 2.0 mg of
bromphenol blue and 310 mg of DTT.

2

Make up to 10 ml with distilled water.

2× SDS Sample
buffer

Amersham ECL Gel Running Buffer, 10× contains
250 mM Tris HCl, 1.92 M glycine, 1% SDS

Amersham ECL Gel
Running buffer, 1×

Prepare 1× buffer for denatured conditions by
adding distilled water in a 1:10 dilution.
