A.2.3.5 Attenuation

For interoperability with legacy equipment, you can select additional attenuation of 23 dB to any Tx or
Rx circuit with the MA-308 module adapter. Each circuit can have its attenuator settings changed
while the module is installed in the shelf. Attenuation is added when the selector is in the IN position
and no additional attenuation is added when the selector is in the OUT position. Table A-34 shows the
switch settings for the MA-308 module adapter. You can use the level settings of the associated VF
module to make additional level adjustments.
