A.1.6.1 Jumper Settings

Figure A-10 shows jumper locations on the MA-310 module adapter. Two sets control signaling and
one set controls output levels. The first set of jumpers that control signaling is JMP1, JMP2, JMP3, and
JMP4. The second set is JMP9, JMP10, JMP11, and JMP12. These eight jumpers control the E&M
signaling type used by the associated voice channel:

●

Jumpers 1 and 9 (JMP1 and JMP9) control the type of signaling for channel 1.

●

JMP2 and JMP10 determine the type of signaling for channel 2.

●

JMP3 and 11 control channel 3.

●

JMP4 and JMP12 control channel 4.

Type I is the factory default signaling type installed on the MA-310 module adapter. Figure A-11
shows the jumpers and the settings that manage E&M signaling.

The remaining four jumpers, JMP5, JMP6, JMP7, and JMP8, control the output level for channels 1
through 4:

Jumper 5 (JMP5) controls the fixed output levels for channel 1.

●

JMP6 determines the output for channel 2.

●

JMP7 controls channel 3.

●

JMP8 controls channel 4.

Table A-19 shows the jumper settings that control output levels. Table A-20 shows the selectable
attenuation control for nominal input levels of -16 and 0 dBm from voice frequency modules used with
the MA-310 module adapter.
