Intraplex Products

To utilize the signal battery polarity option, remove the jumpers in applications where the external
signaling battery is positive (+) with respect to chassis ground. In cases of positive (+) signaling
battery applications, both jumpers must be removed.

To install the MA-305C module adapter, perform these steps:

1.

At the rear of the chassis, insert the adapter into the same slot position in which the VF-25 module
has been installed.

2.

Once it is seated securely, secure the unit with screws provided.

3.

Plug the connector into the adapter.

MA-306C Four-Wire, RJ-45 Connector

The MA-306C module adapter provides specially modified RJ-45 modular connectors for use with 4-
wire E&M Voice Frequency Modules in any Intraplex multiplexer. This adapter provides modular
connectors for each of the four circuits (Figure A-3).

A.1.3.1 Jumper Settings

Jumpers JMP2 through JMP9 (there is no JMP1) are used to select the signaling type. Figure A-3 shows
how to hold the adapter, and Table A-4 shows how to set the jumpers. Tables A-5 through A-7 show
settings for channels 1 through 4. Note that pin 1 is square in each table.
