A.2.2.4 Installation
To install the MA-306 module adapter, perform these steps:
1. At the rear of the chassis, insert the adapter into the same slot position in which the VF-25 module
has been installed.
2. Once it is seated securely, secure the unit with screws provided.
3. Plug the connector into the adapter.
A.2.3 MA-308 Four-Wire, RJ-45 Connector
The MA-308 module adapter combines
● Modular connectors
● Monitoring jacks
● Tandem application attenuators
The MA-308 module adapter is designed to use with 4-wire E&M Voice Frequency Modules in any
Intraplex Products multiplexer. It provides eight connectors for signal connection and monitoring, as
well as eight switches for control of additional signal attenuation. The switches are marked T=Transmit
and R=Receive, for each of the four channels (Figure A-17).

The MA-308 module adapter provides modular connectors for each of the four circuits and is two card
slots in width. The MA-308 module adapter is designed to meet the needs for interface signal
monitoring and additional attenuation. Figure A-14 defines the pin assignments for the eight
connectors.
