GC32FLEX TSI
GC32FLEX/TSI SAFETY AND OPERATION MANUAL
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
CALIBRATION - AUTO CALIBRATION ROUTINE
The GC32FLEX TSI has an automated calibration
routine. The machine is required to run this routine
each time it is turned on. The routine will prompt
the user each time the machine is turned on or it
can be manually activated by pressing the green
(Green color) calibration button on the front of the
Control Box. It is important that any 32 series die
set is installed in the head for the calibration routine
to work correctly. The user will be prompted to
confirm this and then again to start the calibration
procedure. The head will start to close automatically,
and a warning sound is played from the tablet.
Once the head is fully closed the unit will Calibrate
itself and release. This should take less than
15 seconds. If there is an error during the Auto
Calibration it will abort and cause a sensor fault. In
this case you must turn off the unit and follow the
advice on dealing with a Sensor Fault.
Step 2: Input Average Measurement
Measure the finished outer diameter of the coupling
as per Gates Guidelines outlined on page 44
Enter the average diameter measured via the
screen or bluetooth calipers (Refer page 38) if they
are connected.
Step 1: Activate Measure Dialogue
The first time a crimp is completed of a hose and
coupling setting from e-crimp™ you will be required
to verify the final Crimp OD. This information
calibrates the internal algorithm to make all
subsequent crimps of this Assembly as accurate as
possible. When the crimp is completed you will see
the following dialog box appear.
