CLEANING THE OUTER HOUSING
Important:
Cleaning and drying with dry paper towels or abrasive cloths and cleaners may
scratch the surfaces. This holds especially for the LCD screen. Do not drip or spill
any liquids on the control panel.
1. Clean the outer housing and LCD screen with a soft, damp cloth. If necessary,
apply a little dishwater to the cloth.
2. Polish with a soft, dry cloth.
DE-SCALING THE COFFEE BREWER
In the interior of your coffee brewer minerals contained in your water, especially sca-
le, will build-up during use. This will affect the coffee brewer’s performance and cof-
fee quality. It is critical that scale build-up is removed regularly. How often you need
to de-scale will depend on the hardness of your water and the frequency of use.
Use the attached test stripe for the determination of the water hardness by following
the instructions written on the card.
Note:
We are not liable for any damage due to the build-up of scale.
The following table gives some rules of thumb for the latest point for de-scaling.
However, for best results, we recommend de-scaling once per month in soft water
environments and more frequently in hard water environments.
