b) Rotate the CUP | CARAFE dial to select 'AMOUNT 12'.
c) Rotate the STRENGTH dial to select 'PRE-GROUND', but do not add any coffee
to the coffee basket.
d) Ensure that the carafe is empty and the lid is securely locked. Place the carafe
into position under the drip stop outlet.
e) Press the START | CANCEL button.
f) Once the cycle is complete, discard the water from the carafe.
4. Repeat step 3 until the smell of the descaler is gone. Thereafter the coffee brewer
is ready for use again.

Contact your vendor to purchase Gastroback Premium Descaler (Art.-Nr. 98175).
You may use a household de-scaling agent instead of the recommended desca-
ler. Choose one that is designed for use with drip coffee brewers and follow the
manufacturer's instructions carefully. Additive Gastroback Premium Entkalter (Art-
No.: 98175).
STORAGE
WARNING:
Young children must be supervised that they do not play with the
appliance or any part or accessory of it. When the appliance is not in use, always
unplug the appliance. Always leave the appliance cool down, before cleaning or
storing the appliance. Only store the appliance where it is protected against inad-
missible strain (e.g. moisture, electric or mechanic shock, frost, direct sunlight) and
out of reach of young children.
CAUTION:
Do not grasp the appliance at the bean hopper, swing-out door, or
power cord for moving. Always grasp the appliance at both sides at the bottom of
the base for moving it. Ensure to store the appliance in upright position where it is
clean and dry. Do not place any hard or heavy objects on or in the appliance or
any part of it.
The power cord may not be knotted, squeezed or bent. Do not pull or strain the
power cord.
Note:
We recommend to empty the water tank before transporting the coffee brewer or
storing for an extended period of time. This is to avoid spillage of water and a
stale and flat taste of your next coffee.
