4. Lift the steam lever to activate manual
steam mode.
5. Keep the tip just under the surface of the
milk until the milk is spinning clockwise,
producing a vortex (whirlpool effect).
6. With the milk spinning, slowly lower the
milk jug. This will bring the steam tip to
the surface of the milk and start to introdu-
ce air into the milk. You may have to gent-
ly break the surface of the milk with the
tip to get the milk spinning fast enough.
7. Keep the tip at or slightly below the sur-
face, continuing to maintain the vortex.
Texture the milk until sufficient volume is
obtained.
IMPORTANT:
Ensure that the milk will not
run over the brim of the milk jug. The milk is
heated up via hot steam. Be aware that the
milk jug will get hot as well.
8. Lift the milk jug to lower the tip beneath
the surface, but keep the vortex of milk
spinning. Use the steam LCD display to
monitor the milk temperature. We recom-
mend 55°C–65°C.
WARNING:
Do not take the steam wand
out of the milk with the steam lever still in
MANUAL position and steam coming out of
the steam wand. Otherwise, hot milk and
steam could splash. Always switch the steam
lever to the OFF position, before removing
the milk jug.
The steam wand could be hot after usage and
steam could still escape from the tip. Do not
hold your hands or delicate objects near the
steam wand to avoid injuries and damage.
Always ensure that the steam wand cooled
down before touching the steam wand tip
with your hands.
9. Move the steam lever to the centre OFF
position BEFORE lowering the milk jug
and taking the tip out of the milk.
10. Wipe the steam wand and tip immediate-
ly with a damp cloth.
11. Lower the steam wand to the down positi-
on and the steam wand will automatically
purge.
Note:
Always wipe the steam wand and tip with
a damp cloth BEFORE returning the steam
wand to the down position. Wiping the
steam wand will remove the majority of
milk and allow the automatic purge fea-
ture to more effectively remove any resi-
dual milk.
12. Tap the milk jug on the table-top to col-
lapse any large bubbles, then swirl the
jug to polish and re-integrate the texture.
13. Consume the milk directly after texturing,
before the milk begins to separate.
