Espresso—Intense and aromatic
It is also known as a short black and is served in a small cup or
glass. It is best to use the 1 CUP button or 2 CUP button.
Long Black
A shot of espresso (single or double) with hot water to taste.
Also known as an Americano. Use the LONG BLACK dial and, if
required, program your individual settings.
Latté Macchiato
The typical morning coffee in Italy and France, served in a glass
with a small bar of chocolate or a sweet cookie.
A latté consists of a single espresso with textured milk, poured
slightly down the side of the glass, and approx. 10 mm of foam
on top.
Cappuccino
A single shot of espresso with textured milk, garnished with cho-
colate: 1/3 espresso, 1/3 hot milk, 1/3 textured milk on top and
grated chocolate drizzled on the foam. The original cappuccino
is served light and lukewarm.
Macchiato
Traditionally served short. However, the macchiato is also poured
as a long black with a dash of milk or a dollop of textured milk.
Ristoretto
A ristretto is an extremely short espresso of approx. 15 ml, distin-
guished by its intense flavour and aftertaste.
