RADAR ALTIMETER TEST

NOTE:

The Rad Alt Test is not applicable to all external radar altimeters. If N/A, the

MFI will not display the option to run the Rad Alt Test.

NOTE:

The Radar Altimeter Test is only available while on the ground.

This purpose of this feature is to test the communication between the MFI and an external

radar altimeter. Refer to the hardware's pertinent manual for external radar altimeter hardware
testing.

During the test, the annunciation 'RA TEST' is present and a predetermined height is

displayed (e.g., 50'). If the test fails, the Rad Alt will display 0' throughout the test where 50'
is expected to be displayed otherwise.

Testing the Radar Altimeter:
