Airspace altitude labels on the navigation map display airspace maximum and minimum
altitudes. Depending on range, the system will determine what airspace labels to display in
order to achieve the best display and minimal clutter.
Changing 'Map' Page display settings for airspace altitude labels:
1)
From the 'Map' Page, open the menu and select Map Options > Map Options >
Aviation Options > Airspace Options .
2)
Select the
ALT Labels
Button to enable/disable the display of that airspace.
3)
If necessary, select the
ALT Labels RNG
Button to display a list of range display settings.
Select the desired range setting for when airspace altitude labels should be displayed.
The Smart Airspace function de-emphasizes airspaces on the 'Map' Page depending on the
current aircraft altitude. The function does not require the aircraft present position or flight
path to enter the lateral boundaries of the airspace. If the current aircraft altitude is within
1500 feet of the vertical boundaries of the airspace, the airspace boundary is shown normally.
If the current aircraft altitude is not within 1500 feet of the vertical boundaries of the airspace,
the airspace boundary is shown subdued.

Enabling/disabling Smart Airspace on the 'Map' Page:
1)
From the 'Map' Page, open the menu and select Map Options > Map Options >
Aviation Options > Airspace Options
.
2) Select the Smart Airspaces Button to enable or disable this function.
Airways
Airways may be displayed on the map at the pilot’s discretion. When airways are selected for
display, the airway waypoints (VORs, NDBs, and Intersections) are also displayed.
