To engage the flight director:
•
Press the Autopilot status box on the PFD-screen to open the
autopilot control panel
•
Press the FD Softkey to activate the flight director in LVL-Mode.
or:
•
Press the Autopilot status box on the PFD-screen to open the
autopilot control panel
•
Press a Softkey for the selected flight director mode.
•
Press the FD Softkey to activate the flight director in selected mode.

Level Mode (LVL)
Level mode is coupled in pitch and roll modes and is annunciated as both
the vertical and lateral modes when active. Touch LVL in the autopilot
interface engages the autopilot in level vertical and lateral modes. Level
mode does not track altitude or heading. When LVL is touched all armed
and active modes are cancelled and the autopilot and flight director
revert to LVL mode for pitch and roll. While in level mode, all other modes
are available by touching the corresponding button.
