Autopilot-related warnings are
indicated in black letters in red boxes
in the autopilot status box.
4.1.4.2 Autopilot Control Methods
The autopilot can be controlled in two ways:
• Use of the autopilot interface in the PFD-screen
•
Use of the disengage pushbutton on the pilots or copilots control
stick: disengage AP
To disengage the autopilot:
•
Press the Autopilot status box on the PFD-screen to open the
autopilot control panel.
•
Press the AP Softkey to disengage the autopilot.
or:
•
Press the disengage pushbutton.
NOTICE
When the autopilot is not active, the AP disengage pushbutton is
functionless.
To engage the autopilot:
•
Press the Autopilot status box on the PFD-screen to open the
autopilot control panel
•
Press the AP Softkey to engage the autopilot in LVL-Mode.
or:
•
Press the Autopilot status box on the PFD-screen to open the
autopilot control panel
•
Press a Softkey for the selected autopilot mode.
•
Press the AP Softkey to engage the autopilot in selected mode.
