Make sure that each of the GTCs initialize and show the CONFIG MODE screen. (Refer
to Figure 503)
(6)
Set the R PFD to the software configuration mode as follows:
(a)
Push and hold the right most softkey (No.12) and engage the R PFD circuit breaker.
(b)
When the R PFD initializes and shows the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message, release the
softkey.
(c)
Make sure that the SYSTEM STATUS page is shown on the R PFD. (Refer to Figure 503)
(7)
Set the MFD to the software configuration mode as follows:
(a)
Push and hold the right most softkey (No.12) and engage the MFD circuit breaker.
(b)
When the MFD initializes and shows the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message, release the
softkey.
(c)
Make sure that the SYSTEM STATUS page is shown on the MFD. (Refer to Figure 503)
(8)
Set the L PFD to the software configuration mode as follows:
(a)
Push and hold the right most softkey (No.12) and engage the L PFD circuit breaker.
(b)
When the L PFD initializes and shows the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message, release the
softkey.
(c)
Make sure that the SYSTEM UPLOAD page is shown on the L PFD. (Refer to Figure 503)
(9)
When the 'DO YOU WANT TO UPDATE SYSTEM FILE' shows, push the NO softkey.
(10) When the 'UPDATE CUSTOM GRAPHIC FILE shows on the display, push the NO softkey.
(11) The airplane is now in Software Loading Configuration Mode.

Standard Configuration Mode
NOTE:
This section gives the procedures to set the G3000 Avionics System to the standard configuration
mode. The standard configuration mode is used to complete maintenance actions.
A.
Set the G3000 system to the standard configuration mode.
(1)
Do the Airplane Setup steps.
(2)
Disengage the circuit breakers on the right circuit breaker panel in the cockpit that follow:
•
L PFD
•
MFD
•
R PFD
•
L TOUCH CONTROL
•
R TOUCH CONTROL.
(3)
Make sure that the PFDs, GTCs and MFD are not energized.
(4)
Set the GTC 1 and the GTC 2 to the standard configuration mode as follows:
(a)
Push and hold the GTC 1 right inner knob while you engage the L TOUCH CONTROL
circuit breaker.
(b)
Release the knob when the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message is shown on the GTC.
(c)
Push and hold the GTC 2 right inner knob while you engage the R TOUCH CONTROL
circuit breaker.
(d)
Release the knob when the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message is shown on the GTC.
(e)
Make sure that each of the GTCs initialize and show the CONFIG MODE screen. (Refer
to Figure 503)
(5)
Set the R PFD to the standard configuration mode as follows:
(a)
Push and hold the right most softkey (No.12) and engage the R PFD circuit breaker.
(b)
When the R PFD initializes and shows the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message, release the
softkey.
(c)
Make sure that the SYSTEM STATUS page is shown on the R PFD. (Refer to Figure 503)
(6)
Set the MFD to the standard configuration mode as follows:
(a)
Push and hold the right most softkey (No.12) and engage the MFD circuit breaker.
(b)
When the MFD initializes and shows the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message, release the
softkey.
(c)
Make sure that the SYSTEM STATUS page is shown on the MFD. (Refer to Figure 503)
(7)
Set the L PFD to the standard configuration mode as follows:
(a)
Push and hold the right most softkey (No.12) and engage the L PFD circuit breaker.
(b)
When the L PFD initializes and shows the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message, release the
softkey.
(c)
Make sure that the SYSTEM UPLOAD page is shown on the L PFD. (Refer to Figure 503)
