Deploying the Motor from the Stowed Position
1 Hold down the pedal to release the latch .
2 Slide the motor out , release the pedal, and raise the motor slowly into the deployed position.
3 If necessary, push the shaft away to lock the motor in the deployed position.
NOTICE
The depth adjustment mechanism is keyed to align with the steering motor, and they should align automatically
when you deploy the motor. To avoid unexpected steering performance, check for obstructions that may
prevent the parts from aligning correctly before using the motor.
Stowing the Motor from the Deployed Position
1 Hold down the pedal to release the latch .
NOTE: The motor may automatically steer to 90° for stowing. The propeller stow side can be configured in
the settings menu.
2 Tilt the shaft back , and then raise the motor slowly while tilting the shaft to the horizontal position.
3 Slide the motor into the motor catch until it locks in the stowed position .
4 If installed, clamp the motor shaft in the stabilizer.
When trailering or when stowing the motor in rough waters, you should move the depth adjustment collar as
close to the steering module as possible for additional stability.
