6.12.3 Remove or Install a Transformer
HIGH VOLTAGE WARNING
Risk of an electric shock. Disconnect power supply to the unit and allow the
unit to cool down.
To replace a transformer:
1.
WARNING: Disconnect power supply to the broiler and allow the unit to cool down.
2. Remove the RIGHT Side Leg Panel (see section 6.3).

Ensure you pull out the panel slowly to avoid disconnecting any wiring accidentally.

Note wire numbers and location before removing all wire connections from the
transformer, or refer to the wire diagram.
4. The transformer is mounted onto a bracket. To separate the transformer bracket from the
frame, remove the screw at the back of the bracket as shown in the illustration below.
5. To separate the transformer bracket from the ignition module bracket,
5a. Loosen the lock-nuts.
5b. Slide the transformer and bracket backward to dislodge the machine screws from the
ignition module bracket.
6. Tilt the transformer and bracket assembly and remove from the leg compartment.
7. Dismount the transformer from the transformer bracket.
8. Replace the transformer and reassemble in reverse order.

Ensure the connections between the male and female connectors are secured to the main
power line (see “4.3 Major Components Illustrated”).

To avoid pinching the wires, tuck the wires safely away before sliding back the Leg Panel.
