The Gallagher range is available for the protection of ponds,

Testing the fence
If you don't have a fence tester (see useful accessories), use a blade of
grass to test the fence. To do this hold the grass between your thumb
and forefinger and touch the grass to the fence wire. Move closer slowly
until a pulse is felt.
No pulse ?
Check the power source, at the plug.
Check your connections. Check it is not being "earthed out" by
vegetation touching the fence wires.
