4. Operating System and Equipment
Caution
• When cleaning the vehicle, be sure that the
smart key is not within the sensing area of the
hatchback door. Otherwise, the hatchback
door may open when a vehicle washer is in
the sensing area. This function is suggested
to be deactivated during cleaning.
• Your pickup with the smart key near the
hatchback door could result in automatic
opening of the hatchback door.
• When automatic sensing function of opening
the hatchback door is enabled, please check
that no people or obstacles are within the
hatchback door coverage.
Opening Hatchback Door in Emergency
When the vehicle is powered off or the
hatchback door cannot open as normal, you can try
to open it from inside the vehicle in emergency:
1. Open the hatchback door trim cover

2. Insert the mechanical key

into the
unlocking mechanism slot, and turn the
mechanical key to unlock and open the
hatchback door.
Hint
If it cannot be opened, please go to
the authorized GAC Motor's dealer timely to
have your vehicle checked and repaired.
Closing the Hatchback Door
Manual Closing
If the automatically opening/closing function of
hatchback door* is deactivated or the hatchback
door is not provided with automatically
opening/closing function, the hatchback door can
be closed manually:
–
Lower the hatchback door down to the rear
bumper cover, and then press it down to close
it with hands.
