This terminal is shipped from the factory with the following IP settings:
IP Address 192.168.55.161
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.55.254
To avoid a conflict with another device on your LAN, you should adjust your
terminal’s IP settings using a serial connection prior to attaching the terminal to
your network.
SONAbeam Utilities CD
Your SONAbeam Installation Kit includes a
SONAbeam SW Utilities CD, which
provides you with tools and information to
help successfully make your FSO link.
The CD is organized in five subject folders:
1 – STC software allows you to configure
and monitor your SONAbeam terminals.
2 – User Guides holders installation and
user information.
3 – Terminal Firmware contains files for firmware recovery.
4 – SNMP MIBs provides files for Simple Network Management Protocol option.
5 – Archive holds previous versions of STC software and terminal firmware.
SONAbeam Terminal Controller Software
Install the SONAbeam Terminal Controller (STC) Software from the Utilities CD so you
can monitor your terminal’s operating parameters, retrieve identification information and
other factory settings and set up your terminal for your link and network.
The SONAbeam Terminal Controller software can be used at this stage for the following:
To provide verification of terminal operating parameters when it is first
powered up…
To allow configuration of applicable terminal option settings.
To monitor terminal operation
Additionally, the SONAbeam Terminal Controller software can also be used in the
alignment stage of your SONAbeam link installation.
