Site Safety
Throughout the site planning and preparation stages of your installation, always consider
the safety aspects of your decisions, namely: people will need to safely occupy and work
within your planned installation locations under all types of weather conditions.
Consider all hazards in the vicinity of your planned installation location that could cause
an individual to trip and/or fall. Avoid locations that could place installers or maintenance
personnel in dangerous or precarious positions.
Consider the possibility and subsequent ramifications of a tool being accidentally
dropped.
If a ladder is required for personnel to reach the planned installation location, ensure it
can be deployed safely.
Keep in mind the weight of the SONAbeam and its associated hardware that installers
will need to handle and lift into place. Ensure that this can be executed safely, perhaps by
planning additional personnel for the installation operation.

Never compromise safety for convenience or thrift!
Site Accessibility
It is important that the installation site be accessible to all installation personnel and all
accompanying installation tools and material.
NOTE…
Take into consideration the size and accessibility of the available access portals
(hatches and doorways) to your chosen installation site. Keep in mind the size
and weight of the equipment you will need to complete your installation…
Site Security
While it is important to have accessibility to the site for installation, it is also very
important for the site to be restricted from public accessibility once the SONAbeam is
commissioned.
