Job mode
General remarks
“Job Mode” assists the production of reproducible quality, both in manual welding and
also in semi-automatic and fully automated operation.
The traditional way of reproducing often-needed jobs (operating points) was to
document the required parameters by hand. In Job Mode, it is now possible to create,
copy, delete and retrieve up to 100 different jobs.
Another advantage is that the power source is immediately ready for welding, with the
desired parameters. You can also arrange jobs in the order required by the production
sequence. “Grouping” of jobs is also supported (e.g. with reference to different
weldments).
The result is to minimise downtimes while ensuring 100% reproducible quality.
Abbreviations
The following messages may be displayed while you are working with jobs:
---
............ No job in this program location (when you attempt to retrieve a job)
nPG
........ No job in this program location (when saving a job)
PrG

Saving a job
The machine comes with no jobs stored in it. Before you can retrieve a job, then, this
job has to be saved to the machine first.
To save a job, proceed as follows:
-
Set the desired welding parameters
Important!
All the settings that are active at this moment in time will be stored as a job.
-
Exception: The power-source-specific settings in the Set-up menu: Level 2.
-
Briefly press the Store button (13) to
change to the job menu. The machine
suggests the first vacant program
location for the job.
-
Press and hold the Store button (13).
The left-hand display reads “Pro” -
the job is stored in the program
location you have just selected.
Important!
If the selected program location already has a job stored in it, then this
existing job will be overwritten with the new job. This action cannot be undone.
