Filling the
cooling unit

Mounting the
welding torch

Establishing a
connection to the
workpiece

Shift the mains switch into the “0” position

Plug the grounding (earthing) cable into the “plus” current socket (17) and twist it to
fasten it

With the other end of the grounding (earthing) cable, establish a connection to the
workpiece

Shift the mains switch into the “0FF” position

Plug the welding cable of the TIG torch into the “minus” current socket (16) and
twist it clockwise to latch it into place

Plug the control plug of the welding torch onto the torch control connection (19) and
twist it to fasten it

Important!

Instead of a control plug, the JobMaster TIG welding torch has a plug for

the standardised LocalNet connection socket (18).

Connect up the JobMaster TIG welding torch to the LocalNet connection socket
(18)

Tool up the welding torch (see the instruction manual for the torch)

When using a TIG welding torch with an integral gas connector:
-

On the rear of the power source, connect the pressure regulator to the Shielding
gas connection socket (22) by means of the gas hose

Tighten the swivel nut

When using a TIG welding torch with no integral gas connector:
-

Connect the gas hose to the pressure regulator

Only when using a water-cooled torch and cooling unit:
-

Plug in the welding-torch water connectors to the water forward-flow (27

- black

)

and return-flow (28

- red

) connections on the cooling unit.

Important!

The cooling unit is supplied “dry”, i.e. without any coolant in the reservoir.

The coolant is supplied separately in a 5l canister. Before using the cooling unit for the
first time, fill the reservoir with coolant!

As Fronius has no influence on factors such as the purity and filling-level of the coolant,
no warranty is given for the coolant pump.

Only fill or top up the reservoir of the cooling unit with original Fronius coolant
(40,0009,0046). The electrical conductivity and inadequate compatibility of all other
antifreeze agents makes them unsuitable for use here.

Filling or topping up with coolant:

Shift the mains switch into the “0” position

Unscrew the screw cap (26)

Fill / top up the reservoir with coolant

Screw the cap (26) back on again - the cooling unit is now ready for operation

When using a TIG welding torch with an integral gas connector:

On the rear of the power source, connect the pressure regulator to the Shielding
